It has a characteristic dark violet brown tone with varied stripes of purple, and develops a warm patina as it ages. It is very hard and heavy, has a naturally bright luster, fine texture, and polishes to a glistening sheen. These turning blanks are available in an assortment of sizes for pens, carvings, bottle stoppers, game pieces, tool handles, table legs, spindles, finials, candlesticks and whatever else your imagination can conjure up!
