Bottom outlet behaves like a regular non-controlled outlet. The top outlet responds to X10 commands just like a 3 pin appliance module. The receptacle module responds to regular ON, OFF, and ALL UNITS OFF commands. It does not respond to ALL LIGHTS ON, BRIGHT, or DIM commands. The Local Control feature is enabled on this product, making it possible to turn on the appliance plugged into the outlet without having to find a transmitter. Simply turn the load off and then on again. The module will 'see' that someone is trying to turn on the attached device and will engage the relay in the module.A version without local control is also available.
